　　我的爺爺年近六旬，兩鬢斑白，戴著一副眼鏡。爺爺的英語特別好，周圍的人都很羨慕他，可誰能知道他學英語付出了多少心血呢？

　　爺爺特別關心國家大事，自從中國加入世貿組織，中國人學英語的積極性空前高漲。正好社區里辦了個英語補習班，爺爺便去報了名，他把這個秘密告訴了我，還叫我別跟別人說。我哈哈大笑說：“您學英語笑死人了。”爺爺卻說：“一年后，咱們就比誰的.英語好，怎么樣？”我爽快地說：“好！”但晚餐時，我卻公開了這個消息。爸爸、媽媽、奶奶都捧腹大笑，奶奶說：“你呀！你呀！都這把年紀了，還學什么英語，傳出去讓人家笑落大門牙！”媽媽說：“您60多歲了，還有這樣的雄心壯志？”爺爺沉默了一會兒，生氣地說：“我國改革開放30多年來，許多外國人來中國，我外出旅游，碰上外國人，不就可以用英語和外國人交流嗎？”爸爸見爺爺生氣了，就說：“好！您去學吧！”爺爺學英語的勁頭可足啦！每天早上6點前就起床，從練習讀26個字母開始，再讀記詞組……有時把我給吵醒了，我便對爺爺說：“您怎么這么煩……”爺爺說：“你睡吧，我不吵了。”我想：您不吵誰信……早上，我和爺爺一起去買菜，爺爺邊走，邊念著ABC，旁邊的人都望著我們倆笑，我滿臉通紅，就小聲對爺爺說：“您別練了，別人還以為我倆是神經病呢！”爺爺卻毫不在意地說：“怕什么，無所謂。”我只好離爺爺遠一點了。晚上，我和爺爺一起睡，9點了，爺爺一直在讀英語。我夜里起來上廁所時，睜開眼睛，一道刺眼的光向我射來，我一看手表：“呀！12點多了。”我催爺爺睡覺，他拿我沒辦法，只好睡覺了。

　　五六個月過去了，我想知道爺爺的英語學得怎么樣，便偷偷地聽他練習英語，爺爺講的英語前面的我明白，可后面的我卻一點也聽不懂，只好去問他老人家，爺爺笑著對我說：“小子，你的英語不如我哩！”一年多過去了，爺爺的英語，讓我沒話好說了。

　　一、活動宗旨

　　英語寫作水平是學生英語綜合運用能力的集中體現，在中高考中占有十分重要的地位。為了提高全體學生對英語寫作的認識與興趣，為學有所長者提供展示才能的機會，為參加各層次的英語能力比賽選拔人才，為教師加強個別輔導和提高教學成績創造機會，落實并彰顯我校第二課堂活動特色，特舉辦我校第四屆學生英語作文比賽。

　　二、參與對象

　　本校全體初、高中學生。

　　三、比賽規則

　　1、活動本著“自由思想，明白表達，獨立完成”的原則。各年級老師針對本年級學生實際情況確定寫作主題或體裁，要求內容健康，積極向上，寫出自己的`真情實感。

　　2、每人在規定期間內現場完成一篇全英文寫作，要求作品必須原創，杜絕抄襲，字數不少于150字（初中組）或300字（高中組）。

　　四、獎勵方法

　　1、本次活動要求各班學生人人參與，之后每班選拔5名優秀選手代表班級參加現場作文比賽，由年級統一評比，設獎比率為一等獎20%，二等獎20%，三等獎20%，優秀獎若干名。

　　2、本次比賽活動由新世界康橋贊助，提供技術指導與獎狀獎品。屆時將在學校報告廳舉行金岸中學第四屆“康橋杯”英語作文大賽頒獎典禮暨英語沙龍。

　　3、組織部分優秀學生作品代表學校參加“第九屆奧林匹克杯全國英語作文大賽”。獲獎學生及指導老師均會獲得相關榮譽獎勵。

　　五、日程安排：

　　1、20xx年3月26日（第七周星期三）各班動員學生積極參加第四屆“康橋杯”英語作文大賽，并組織學生參加班級的英語寫作選拔賽，以確定代表班級參加學校第四屆英語作文現場比賽的選手名單。

　　2、20xx年4月2日（第八周星期三）每班選派5人于下午5:10---6:00在報告廳參加現場英語寫作比賽，由科組統一裝訂后分發年級老師交叉評分（采用二評，初中15分制，高中25分制）。

　　3、4月9日（第九周星期三）各年級組統計比賽成績，確定獲獎等次，并將作文及名單匯總于科組整理備獎。

　　4、4月25日下午5:10（第十一周星期五第八節課）在報告廳舉行頒獎典禮暨英語沙龍活動。

　　5、4月30日（第十二周星期三）按第九屆奧林匹克杯全國英語作文大賽要求上交參賽作品并郵寄（電子版）。

　　附：20xx學年全校各年級參賽名額分配如下：

　　1、第七屆國際英語電視大賽：初一20人；高一6人

　　2、20xx國際英語精英賽：初二18人；高二6人
