　　今天，我早早吃了午飯，12:30就來到了越溪實驗小學，參加下午1；00舉行的第八屆“時代杯”英語風采大賽。來了以后，我們才知道,1:20才是真正動筆參賽的時間，參賽證上的競賽時間1:00實際上是進考場的時間。來早了，我就多復習了一遍。

　　1:20開始做競賽題了。競賽題分聽力、基礎運用、能力提升、圖形推理四個部分。我按照要求，先做筆試部分。我先在試卷上把一個一個題目做好，然后一邊檢查，一邊把答案謄到答題卡上，在小括號格子里填涂。

　　這次競賽的試題還是有一定難度的`，主要是有些詞語既沒教過，也從沒接觸過。實在沒辦法了，只好按照上下文的意思進行推測了，有的還真給我推測對了呢。2:20分，我們開始進行聽力測試。聽力要報題，我仔細把每道題都都聽得很認真、很清楚，答題有很大把握。

　　最后，我又把答題卡上的答案和試卷上是否一致，進行了一次復查。收卷時間到了，我交了試卷，趕往滄浪少年宮參加“小主人報”編輯部活動。

　　我想到爸爸是警察，爸爸在家里的抽屜里放著一個警笛，我跑過去把它拿出來按了一下，就發出刺耳的聲音,媽媽的愛，小偷以為警察真來了，就妝扮成這個樓的人走了出去。我跑到陽臺看見小偷已經走了，就飛快跑回書桌前又繼續寫作業了。這時媽媽回來了，我把事情的經過告訴了媽媽，媽媽豎起大拇指夸我長大了。這就是一件趕小偷難忘的故事。
