　　進入午門，走過金水橋，再走過太和門，映入眼簾的是太和殿，真不愧是古代的皇家宮殿，殿外的欄桿是用漢白玉雕刻的，殿內的椅子、扶手、柱子和屋頂，竟都是金子做的。太和殿是故宮里最中央的一個宮殿，也是皇帝行政的地方，所以，太和殿是所有宮殿閣樓中最壯觀、最精致的。在太和殿的屋頂上，龍的九子之一—嘲風，栩栩如生的立在屋頂的兩個角尖上。

　　走出太和殿，走過中和殿、保和殿和乾清宮，再往前走，就來到了御花園。園內建筑多數倚靠著圍墻，只有少數精美造型的亭臺搭建在園中。園佳木蔥蘢，其古柏藤蘿，皆數百年物，將花園點綴得情趣盎然。各色的石子鋪在地上，拼成了900多幅不同的圖案，沿路欣賞，趣味無窮。在古代，這里是帝王后妃休息散心的地方，老百姓不得踏入半步，所以，在古代老百姓眼中，這里就是一個地地道道的"紫禁城"。御花園以它古木繁花、亭臺樓閣、嶙峋山石......的美麗而聞名遐邇。
